Taxi zones price a ride whose pickup and drop-off both fall inside mapped zones with a zone → zone fixed fare per vehicle tier — no match simply keeps the meter. Airport routes classify the non-airport endpoint into a zone and fix the fare for (zone ↔ airport, direction, tier); no match follows the configured fallback (block / estimate / manual quote).
